Katy & Matt: Guest Sign-in Book

View Slide Show of Book

Hi all! I just finished working on a guest sign-in book for Katy and Matt and I thought I'd share.

I decided to start offering these, one because they're fun and um, I love creating them, but two because it's too hard to narrow down engagements to just a few for the reception. And so it was, the guest sign-in book was born and there's no turning back!

It's a sleek, art book you display on your coffee table and how fun is it that your friends and family can write you notes next to pictures you love...

I just love them, can you tell?

I have the BEST clients

Alright so today, well wait actually yesterday, my client Jennifer picked up two story books of her two sons. She was so excited to see them and when she started looking through the first few pages, she said, "oh my gosh, I'm going to cry" and she did.

Jennifer, you made my day!! Thank you so much for having me take pictures of your two darling, little boys with the blue eyes. I can't wait to take pictures of them again in the summer.

I have the best clients.

Here are a few pages in the book...

Playing Catch Up....

I've been shooting like crazy lately--been lovin' every minute of it! But, I'm a little behind in my posting. I still have three other couples to post and talk about! Yikes!!

John and Erin's engagement session was so much fun. I could tell right away we were going to be in for some fun and well, some silly pictures. These two crack each other up and well frankly me. Especially when they were rubbing noses together. That's what got Erin to laugh in one of her pictures below. Can I just say, she has some of the best expressions?

Thanks Erin and John! I'm working on your wedding proofs right now and I can't wait to start on your album!

Erin & John

Here's a sneek peek of Erin and John's wedding.

Leafless, Salt Lake Temple grounds make for some pretty different shots (almost gothic).

And How 'bout Some Candids?

Katy & Matt

I absolutely loved this shoot! Originally we were going to shoot in Ogden, but I came across this beat up truck and gas station on my drive home the other day. Traffic can be a bugger sometimes, so I took a different route home. When I saw the two locations, I knew I had to shoot there and I thought Katy would be perfect for the locations. I talked to her about it and she was game. She was so trusting and open to ideas. I feel like I get some of my best shots out of a couple when they're open to new locations and ideas.

During the shoot I noticed right away how passionate about each other they were. I think the pictures recorded this and just how in love they are...

My first shot of the day, was one where they weren't posed, they were just being themselves while I shot from behind a tree. Sometimes I feel a little stalkerish! He, he! But including some of the environment in a picture can create a beautiful scene and mood.

I can't wait for Katy's bridals and wedding!
